MIDWEEK MESSAGE – May 8, 2024

Today, two years ago, my life changed.  It was the day that my beloved husband, spiritual partner, best friend, encourager, humorist, traveling companion, editor, publisher, and most of all, teacher of what love means passed on to whatever comes after this life.

After that, amid all the tears, grief, and sadness, I had a feeling that besides the loss of Christopher, there was a higher plan for me in this upheaval of my life. I recently began a journey through a course by Michael Singer entitled Living from a Place of Surrender.

I thought I knew about surrender, but this course is about a new level of surrender. It is about understanding that every moment that comes before us results from the miracle of creation – God.  That means that even those moments that test our faith, strength, and trust are of God.

I believe in a God who is Omnipresence (the presence in everything). That means that there is God in everything, and I determine what I am going to do with what Life gives me. For two years, I chose sadness, self-pity, and a feeling of being lost.

Lately, through this course, I have become increasingly aware that this event was not done to me personally but was in perfect Divine Order, according to a Greater Plan than anything my mind can comprehend. I cannot change it; I cannot let it keep me from discovering what life asks of me and what I was created to be.

Christopher always encouraged me to grow spiritually and be all I was created to be. He did it one more time two years ago today with the love he personified his whole life.

Thank you, God, for Life as it was, is, and will be.

Quote of the Week

“Anything you accept fully will get you there, will take you into peace.

This is the miracle of surrender.”

Eckhart Tolle
