Midweek Message – May 15, 2013
There are many books, tapes and programs that teach us how to be successful. We are continually encouraged to raise the bar and to clear it again and again. But there is not much material on how to anchor and celebrate our achievements.
Many of us have our thoughts dominated by our failures and we spend a great deal of time thinking about our disappointments rather than looking at what we have accomplished. Concentrating on our failures drains our energy and our confidence.
To change this, we need to reprogram our minds so that we acknowledge our strengths and talents. Taking time to recognize our accomplishments increases our motivation, confidence and gives us the momentum to actually reach higher.
Tonight (or today) begin to list your success for the day. Look at the good, what you have and what you have accomplished. This is different than a gratitude list because this is what you have done well for the day. We all have many successes; it is only a matter of changing our minds so we can see them.
Quote of the Week
“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough” Oprah Winfrey
