MIDWEEK MESSAGE – May 14, 2025
I have a friend who is going through a difficult time in their life. It seems that at every turn, some disaster awaits them. The other day, they said to me, “Why can’t I catch a break?”
I could certainly relate, as there was a time in my life when I felt the same way. If I walked through a pasture of cows, I would likely step in any pile of manure present, even if there was only one in the entire field.
I thought life was out to get me, which is what my friend is feeling. My friend does not believe in any Higher Power, which is where I was when I felt defeated by life. I thought life was out to get me.
I was living from the outside in, and it wasn’t until I found a new way to see things and a Higher Power, which I view as Love, that I began to understand that life is lived from the inside out.
The more time I spent portraying myself as a victim of life, the less time I had to reflect on what I could do to change my life and how I perceived it. Life happens, things end, and some of our dreams may not come to fruition. However, I believe that having faith in a Power Greater Than Ourselves, which is Love, will always provide the strength and courage to face life and see all the blessings in it, whatever we may be facing.
Quote of the Week
