MIDWEEK MESSAGE – September 2, 2020

Here we are in September already!

I don’t know about you, but it seems this year has flown by. It might be because life has been anything but normal. Plans have been changed, hugs from our friends and loved ones have been missing, contact with people has changed, seeing smiles is impossible behind the masks, and for many – jobs have been lost, finances strained – in other words lives have been disrupted.

But despair not, because things are changing again. For those involved in a church, churches are opening up again but the way they will look will be different. Malls are also opening but the way they do business is changing as well. Some jobs are returning, and more people than ever are working from home and learning how to deal with being with their families 24/7.

I believe that these changes are an indication that things are going to get better. I refuse to waste a day worrying about what will happen in a few months. Life is too short to spend today in fear and apprehension of tomorrow regarding this virus and pandemic.

Each day when we wake up, we are given the gift of another day. That means another day to love, to feel joy, to grow, and to see what adventures life has in store of us. Take time to appreciate your now, this moment in time will never be repeated. Enjoy the gifts you have now because life can only truly be lived one day at a time.

Quote of the Week

“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present.” Bill Keane
