MIDWEEK MESSAGE – October 26, 2022

Change – it’s that time of the year. The seasons are changing, the weather is changing, in fact, all of nature is changing. For many people, along with the season, their life may be changing.

Whether the change is something we initiate or whether it is something that is thrust upon us, most people do not like change. Change often means an anxious fear of the unknown. That fear is usually based on the bigger fear that they are going to lose something that they have or not get something that they want.

But changes are inevitable whether we like it or not.  We can, however, make a decision to initiate change rather than sit and wait for some change to happen to us. The advantage of initiating change is that we don’t feel so much like a victim of life. We become cocreators of our life.  We decide where we want to be, what we want to do, and more importantly who we want to be.

The truth is that no matter how much we plan, no matter how much we try to control things, and no matter how much we hold onto things, we cannot avoid change.

Like nature’s seasons, every season of life has its gifts, its joys, and its challenges. What will you do with the season of life you are in?

Quote of the Week
“It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change”.
Charles Darwin
