MIDWEEK MESSAGE – Novembere 6, 2024
I am writing this week’s message from Narraganset, RI, a beautiful coastal town on the Atlantic Ocean. Being November in Rhode Island, the place is quiet, which suits me perfectly. The winds cause the waves to crash into the shore, a sound that is music to my ears and dear to my heart.
The good and not-so-good news is that I have come down with a cough and cold (flu?), so I am not feeling as good as I would like. The good news is that I can recover from the ocean air, and being here by myself, I’m not passing germs to others.
Similar to being sick when traveling, life has good and not-so-good things. How we see them is based on our perception of the situation. I prefer to look for the good, and in the case of my current situation, I chose to see the good, knowing the situation is minor in relation to what other people may be facing.
I am grateful for the heroes who have shown me how to find good in some of life’s greatest challenges. They allow me to do the same in whatever I may be facing.
Quote of the Week
