MIDWEEK MESSAGE – May 24, 2019

What a wonderful time of year – Spring, Easter, Passover, Earth Day! Each one in its own way is about rebirth, renewal, rejuvenation, and Life!

It is a time when we are reminded that before new beginnings, there are endings. We don’t like endings because most of us are afraid of change, of new things, different things. We often would rather stay in our pain than face the unknown.

Spring and Easter remind us that preceding life and much beauty, come times of darkness and often despair. But no matter how bleak the winter is, spring is always behind it, and often the most beautiful Springtimes are the ones that follow the dreariest winters.

If we can remember the lesson from from the caterpillar – it is only in letting go of the old – no matter how painful the process is – that we can become what we were created to be – beautiful, unique butterflies.

Quote of the Week

“If you watch how nature deals with adversity, continually renewing itself, you can’t help but learn.” Bernie Siegel MD
