MIDWEEK MESSAGE – July 13, 2022

It has always amazed me how we want forgiveness from someone we have harmed, yet we are slow to forgive those who have hurt us. We tend to carry around all the pain we have ever felt.

Often the pain is buried so deep we are unaware that it is weighing us down in many ways. Then when our lives are less than what we want or hope for, we can’t figure out why.

I heard someone once say that unforgiveness is a cancer of the soul. Like cancer, it attacks and affects all the cells around it – in the case of unforgiveness, it attacks all aspects of our lives.

That can include but is not limited to physical pain, lack, poor relationships, unfavorable work situations, emotional distress, sleeplessness, and the list goes on and on.

How could one thing have such a profound effect on every aspect of our Lives? I don’t know, but it does!

We must constantly go within, looking for any forgiveness that is required of us that we have yet to complete fully. Until we bring it to light and correct it, we will continuously swim against Life’s current instead of in the flow with it.

Quote of the Week
