MIDWEEK MESSAGE – January 8, 2020

Have you ever noticed how easy it is to have faith when life is going well – when you feel healthy and strong, have loving relationships, are financially secure; in other words when all is well in your world.

But what happens when everything is not going the way you want it to in your life? How is your faith then? It would be wonderful if our faith never waivered never faltered, but alas, for many of us, this is not the case.

Almost anyone who has had deep spiritual experiences have also experienced “dark night of the soul(s)”. Peter, one of Jesus’s disciples experienced it several times even though he had a life changing experience. And he was not alone. Many spiritual giants did as well.

How does that help you? If you are having a rough time in your life, don’t get discouraged. It is sometimes through our darkest days that we find the greatest light. Believe that, trust that, and have faith that you will get through it and find the light at the end of the tunnel.

Quote of the Week

“Raindrops and teardrops have two things in common. Both fall freely, and yield abundance. The former leads to abundant harvest and the latter, abundant mercy.”
