MIDWEEK MESSAGE – February 5, 2020

Are you strong enough?

Not physically strong, or even mentally strong, but spiritually strong. Strong enough to help you get through the challenges that life sometimes presents?

The strength to handle whatever life gives you comes not from what we eat, how much we workout, our genetics, or our lifestyle. Inner strength can only come from within, from the Inner Christ that is within each of us. It is only when we tap into that Christ, that we can endure, and often even turn those challenges into opportunities.

How do we do that? We connect first with our Higher Power whenever we are faced with a challenge or decision that seems more than we can handle. We do that through affirmations, prayer, and meditation. One of my favorite affirmations is “I have the strength to accomplish all that is mine to do” or, “I have all the time I need to do all that is mine to do.”

The little self of me can not do what I am often called to do. It takes the bigger Self that is within to guide me, strengthen me, and keep me grounded in the Truth that, “With God all things are possible.”

I then can experience a sense of security, I no longer feel hopeless or helpless, and I have the courage to face whatever challenges come my way.

Quote of the Week

“No matter what kind of challenges or difficulties or painful situations you go through in your life, we all have something deep within us that we can reach down and find the inner strength to get through them.”
