MIDWEEK MESSAGE – August 17, 2022

Kindness is one of the most gentle expressions of love we can extend to everyone, not just a few people in our inner circle. Everyone is kind sometimes; the key is sharing our kindness with all creation. Imagine what the world would be like if everyone tried to be kinder to anyone they met, even the driver who cut us off!

Every day we are given opportunities to be a little kinder to others, to be understanding and supportive. Most of us want to be this way, but life gets busy, we get harried, and we find ourselves wrapped up in “our stuff.” We fail to see how our behavior can positively affect others. As a result, we miss opportunities to be a vehicle of love, kindness, and tolerance in this world.

I know this is difficult at times, while at other times just simply impossible, but every day as we start our day, we can ask for the strength and willingness to at least make a concerted effort to be kind to all. We owe it not just to the world but to ourselves to make such an effort.

Quote of the Week

“Kindness in word creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profundity. Kindness in giving creates love.”
