MIDWEEK MESSAGE
One thing about moving into a new area is that people tend to ask me, “Where did you live?” For many people, that would be an easy answer, “ I moved here from California, New Jersey, etc. “
However, for me, the answer is not that easy. When I say I moved from California, other questions arise about all the places I have lived. Usually, the next question is, “Why did you live in so many places?” I joke around and answer, “I was left on my parent’s doorstep by a band of gypsies” which often gets a smile or laugh.
To some, it may seem that I am a gypsy or that I’ve been running all of my life. However, the other day, I had a new thought that made me look at my moves in a new light. Looking back at my life and the places I have lived, I can see where each one played an integral part in my spiritual growth.
It was as if each one was orchestrated, bringing me to my next new adventure and opportunity to grow emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. They were all necessary for me to learn to let go, to find my next gift, and to grow into the person God created me to be.
In each place, a major life change occurred. In each place, I was introduced to people who became catalysts in my life, bringing on some big and small changes and helping me to see the good in all.
I do not regret the moves I’ve made, nor do I regret any place that I lived. Because of that, when asked, “Which was my favorite place?” there is no easy answer. Each had their own gifts and lessons, equally important in my life.
When I was a young girl, I dreamed of being rich and famous, and although neither happened, my life has been blessed in countless ways. It has been full, interesting, and certainly an adventure, and definitely not boring.
Mostly, I have learned that wherever I am or may go, I will always be exactly where I am supposed to be according to God’s will, in the right place, and at the right time.
